EXAMS ARE OVER HAHAHAHA

Thursday, October 28, 2010 @ 6:56 PM

Year 2 Classes, Lang Arts holiday homework.

Read newspapers and magazines (in English, of course) for current news on Singapore and the world.

- Cut out 4 articles which interest you.
- To ensure that the news you gather is current, you need 2 from November 2010 and 2 from December 2010.
- Buy an A4-size exercise book either from our school bookshop or elsewhere (the exercise book need not have RVHS on its cover, but exercise books bearing the names of other schools are not acceptable). This will be your Lang Arts journal for Year 3.
- Paste the articles, one on a new page in the exercise book. Leave the first page empty for you to record the contents of your journal later.
- Write a reader response to each of the articles. Minimum number of words for each reader response is 250 words.
- Your reader response involves a brief summary of the article followed by your views on the issues raised in the article.

Note: The selected articles should be expository in nature. (Check the dictionary for what is meant by 'expository' if you are not sure of the meaning of the word.)

Get all these ready on the first day of school. You will be asked to share the reader response orally in class before handing in the homework.
